In our busy life, busy jobs and family, we tend to forget to take care of the most important person in our lives and that is “Ourselves!” You see, we buy a lot of stuff because that is sometimes, our happiness. But are those things helping you in your everyday life? What difference will it make if you don’t buy it? In this article for today, we are here to give you some advice on what low cost items that will definitely improve your life. Improving your life in a less money spent is an achievement. Everybody wants to practice frugal living. It is hard at first because we are not used to it but later on, you will just notice that your savings account has a lot of money saved in there. Now let us start with our lists.

  • Lacrosse Balls – This tiny ball will have a big role in your life. We all know that getting a massage after work or every weekend will cost us a lot of money. But with the power of the Lacrosse Ball, say goodbye to body aches! Everybody loves a relaxing night. This bad boy is worth buying for.
  • Electric Kettle – This is to all coffee and tea lovers. Make a cup of tea and coffee in an instant. The maximum time is 5 minutes and you are good to go. You don’t need to go to the coffee shop every morning and buy a cup of coffee. The price is very reasonable too.
  • Bag of Tools – We all love to build things and fix things. Hiring someone to fix one of our things will cost us a lot of money. But if we have the right tools, then worry no more. You can actually choose different kinds of tools. Depending on your capability and knowledge in fixing things. I recommend the basic tools for beginners like me.
  • Swiss Knife – Swiss knife is a miracle worker. It is small tool but it can actually do a lot of things! Like cutting ropes, opening a wine bottle and so much more! But for beginners, I suggest that you buy the classic ones. Believe me, it is a great use when we are on the beach and we forget to bring knife.
  • Living Plant – This is a good source of fresh air provided to our homes. Especially when we live in an apartment. Plants is a combination of humidifier and purifier. They don’t need electricity and the only maintenance they need is a glass of water! They could also last long if well taken care of.
  • Seed Packets – Gardening is very relaxing. The good thing about planting is that when it grows, you will harvest them and keep the seeds and plant it again. It is a never ending cycle! Just plant the basic ingredients that you need when you cook. Salad perhaps? It is healthy and productive too.
  • Quick Charger – How much is the cost when we plug and charge our phones? Some phones will take forever to charge. So if you are always in a hurry, a quick charger is a must have. It will only take 30 minutes for the phone to be 100% fully charged! But a piece of advice, never ever leave your phone while charging when sleeping.
  • Handheld Shower w/Adjustable Spray – This is really worth buying because not only it helps us clean ourselves but it can also be used to clean your bathroom walls. It can actually be bought for as low as $35 and make sure to choose the one that has a setting to adjust the pressure of the shower.
  • Library Card – Calling the attention of all bookworms out there! Owning a library card will save you a lot of money. Instead of buying a new book, why not borrow one from the City Library? Purchasing a library card will cost you $0 and borrowing books from them will also cost you $0. Make sure to return the book properly!
  • Pressure Cooker – It is the same as slow cooker/crock pot but instead of 8 hours, the pressure cooker can cook food in 2 hours. I prefer this one than the crock pot because not only it saves me money but it also saves me a lot of time to prepare the dining area. You can buy a pressure cooker on a black Friday sale for only $80. Depending on the brand.
  • Attachable Bidet  – Yeap! It is one of our lists. How many toilet papers do you purchase every month? And how much does a bidet cost? Can you see the difference now? You see, owning a bidet will definitely save you money. Ditch your toilet papers now and install some bidets in your bathrooms. The good thing about the bidet is that you can install it all by yourself. You don’t need to hire a plumber to install it.
  • Handheld Vacuum – It is perfect for families who has children and loves to eat on the carpet. Some small foods goes under the chair and you can’t get all those crumbs. Right? Think of this, which one do you prefer, a handheld vacuum where you can carry it easily with your bare hands or the big ones that needs to be pulled off? Go to thrift shops and look for used ones and of course, make sure to test it before purchasing it. Trust me, I got mine for only $30! And it is a great help to my household chores.
  • Grooming Kit – Men and Women needs grooming kit. We always want to stay clean and sexy! For men and women who shaves everyday. This is a must have! And try to look for the travelling grooming kit. It is small and handy too.
  • Fog Proof Shower Mirror – So you can always check if all the parts in your body are clean. And for men who shaves, this is a must have to avoid accidents while shaving your mustache and beards. Women loves this item so much that they want to purchase 2 of those bad boys.
  • Dental Floss – Keep your teeth clean always every after toothbrush. It will help your oral hygiene to be healthy to avoid going to dentists. Pair it with electric toothbrush then your oral hygiene will never be the same as before. The downside of having an electric toothbrush is that once you own one, you will need to change the head of it for every couple of months or depending on you.
  • First Aid Kit and Fire Extinguisher – We will never know when will the accident occur but for safety precautions, purchase 1 of those. First aid kits and fire extinguisher are needed in every home. This is definitely worth buying and spending your money.
  • Hammock – Any type hammocks will do! This is useful every summer. We don’t need to use the air conditioners during the summer. Just place your hammock under the tree or in your pouch and might as well take nap. Who does not love a nap in a hammock?
  • Doorway Trainer – How much money do you spend on going to gym per day? How much does the membership fee costs? Doorway trainer is just around $20-$30 bucks plus it can be purchased once only! No monthly fees and you can place it somewhere in your house.
  • Hydro Flask – Bring your clean and fresh water with you whenever you go. I always bring my hydro flask with me because we don’t know if the tap water is clean if we go to places that we are not familiar. Right? It is a great purchase and it is handy too!

We just reached the end of our lists. Actually, for me all that we buy will definitely improve our life. But depending on the item too. As long as you purchase or buy things that can be used in the future and it has a good quality and it also delivers well then we are all good. There are some things that we need to consider before purchasing an item. For electricity dependent things make sure to check the wattage of the item. The lower the wattage, the more we can save in electric bills. For the non electric things make sure to check the review before buying it. What are your thoughts?
