Who else here loves to travel like there is no end? Travelling is our ultimate getaway from all the stress from work and away from the busy city that we live in. The question is that, do we have enough money to do that? How am I going to travel with a limited fund in my pocket? Do not travel with debts waiting when you get home after a short vacation. Most of our trips always depend on our budget. Do not go beyond that to avoid debts. We are here to help you find the cheapest possible way to get a flight for your dream vacation or getaway. Flights are the top 1 most comfortable ways to travel. In today’s topic, we are going to show you some ways to find cheap flights. You better grab some pen and write this down! Let us start off with our lists.
- Newsletter – All websites has newsletters and that is their way to spread the word about the promotions that their company is giving away to all their loyal customers. An airline also has this kind of promotion and they want to let all their clients know about the deals and sale that they are up to now. Subscribing to one of their newsletter is amazing. You will have a slight advantage when it comes to promo and seat sale that they are offering. You might get up to 80% off from the regular fare that an airline has. If you are lucky enough, you will get a sit in the business class!
- Early Bird – When you book early, the fare has a big difference. If your flight is 5 months from now then you better start looking for tickets. Like they always say the early bird, catches the worm and please keep in mind that the price of every flight changes constantly every week or every single day. When it comes to finding the cheap flights, timing is everything. If you are not yet sure about your first choice, you might want to check it as frequently as possible.
- Cheaper Today, Expensive Tomorrow – Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the least expensive days for domestic flights in general and Friday and Sunday are the most expensive ones. Like I said, the price is changing frequently. Based on my research the best day to purchase a flight ticket is during Saturday up to Tuesday. Observe it and you will be shocked when you try to compare the flights. If you are flexible then go check some alternate dates around at the very same period of time.
- Peak Season – It is obvious that during the peak season like Thanksgiving and Spring Break would be much more expensive than the usual flight fare. That is the time that people from all over the world travel often to see the beauty of every city and how they spend their spring break and thanksgiving. The flights are expensive because of the full flight that they always have during the peak season. So if I were you, you better start booking now for this year thanksgiving. The early, the better!
- Alternate Airports – Checking for another airport is also great for travelling. You might have an option and you will probably know the discounts that are happening from flight to flight. The more options you have, the more likely you are going to find what may be the last discount seats to your perfect destination.
- 24-Hour Rule – Once you already booked your flight, come back and check it after 24 hours to see if the price of your airfare went down. If that happened, call the airline to cancel your flight and most of the time you can always rebook your flight without paying any penalty.
- Chase Kayak – Check out the Kayak’s explore tool because it is very useful in searching multiple flights at the same time for you and you will instantly see the map with all the destination that they cater and make a long list of flights that are in your budget.
- Social Media Madness – Everyone is spending most of their time in social media and it is one of the biggest platforms that people often use. Most of the airline companies announce their promo in Facebook and Twitter. In order to get the flight, you need to be fast because the sale will disappear after an hour.
- Rewards – Have you tried to book using your credit cards? One of their rewards is giving you free flights with every point that you earn by just booking from them using only your credit card. All you have to pay is the extra fees! Free flight is one of the best ways we can go to places that we want to go. So keep booking using your credit cards!
Everything is best actually and I always believe that it is all about the timing and promos. The best advice I could give you is subscribe to their newsletter. You can always unsubscribe if you are annoyed by their spam emails. Remember, there is a reason why every website has newsletter and that is to notify you with every promo that they are giving to all their loyal customers.
Travelling is fun because it is our ultimate escape from reality but you might want to save a lot of money months before your flight! There are so many things that we can do once we reach the destination that we want to go. And one more thing, do not forget to check the insurance button just in case guys! Insurance will help you in so many ways and one of them is that if you lost your baggage and they can’t find it, they are going to pay you the total possible amount of the item that you lost. I know some people who do not get flight insurances and that is a big NO when flying. Did we miss something? Please let us know with your comments below!
